How do i make a Toilet wax ring work correctly?

Turn the toilet upside down and install the wax ring , Onto the toilet . . Remove all the caulking. Re-set the toilet .Install bolts and tighten , but don't over tighten . Never use cal king on toilet base .When you buy your wax ring , buy one with a plastic "flange ". I have heard of situations where two ring should be used . I never ran into this so call your local plumber if you think you fall into that category.
