Ethical placements, who is better served?

This is a good question. I was coerced into surrendering but this is still an interesting subject as I have suffered with depression since I was a teen and my son's adoptive mother has also suffered with depression for many years. So although my son wasn't removed from me because of this he would have still have grown up with a mother that suffers with depression.
