What kind of spider is this?

I already googeled it to no avail. I'm hoping to run into a spider enthusiast here. I found him in my kitchen and leaned in to get a good look before I smashed his little brains in. He was really small (about the size of a medium pin head) and his thorax was splotched white and black. Literally as if a dalmation had been turned into a spider.
