Teaching myself guitar, but where do I start?

find songs you like on youtube and type "how to play ___ on acoustic guitar". there are a few good beginner teachers on there. play music you like to listen to so you stick with it. the more you change chords the better you will get. but you have to have a reason to want to pick up the guitar, that's why i say play what you like to hear.
