What channels to you get with Tivo and just basic cable service?

I was thinking about ditching my cable dvr box and getting a Tivo, however I don't want to lose channels and was wondering if I would only get the basic cable channels with the Tivo, or if the Tivo service had it's own channel lineup. Thanks for any istance with this.
